BIBIANA HUBER, principal and creative director of B-Huber. 

 

Her skills to develop concepts, her understanding of aesthetics, and her passion for design and architecture have made her the winner of two gold medals in 4th Ibero-American Biennial including Best Integration of Art and Design and Year Revelation. She was  granted the Best Industrial Designer in Jalisco, México and nominated for the Adolf Horn Award for entrepeneurs.She was also considered one of the 31 most talented young women in the Country of Mexico in the year 2015, when she was asked what where her considerations when starting to develop a design concept, she answered: “We consider the identity of each place is a result from its environment, traditions, and architecture, therefore the overall interior design must reflect its location and culture”.

 

Her Swiss and Mexican roots bring a warm yet precise mix to her work, she studied plastic arts in Florence Italy and Industrial design at the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Guadalajara Mexico, she started to work as an independent contractor by the age of 19, designing a prestigious jewelry store in Guadalajara, this started to open doors and build her credentials, she has been very driven since a young age, and this became evident when she entered a head to head competition with international arquitectural firms, which she won, for the contract of Hotelito Desconocido, a luxury boutique hotel in Costa Alegre México, this was her first important contract by the age of 22.

 

As of today, B-Huber is one of the most prestigious architecture and design studios in Mexico, working with firms like Four seasons, Marriott, Indigo and luxurious boutique Hotels in different spots of the world like Tulum and Costa Alegre in México, Costa Rica and Fiji. 

 

Bibiana has been a speaker of many design conferences around Latinoamérica, sharing her passion and enthusiasm for design with students and professionals in the creative field.
